Saint Michael’s 3rd Annual Reverse Raffle a Smashing Success!

Tybee Island, GA – The Saint Michael’s Catholic School annual fundraising event was held February 7th, 2010 – 12 noon to 4pm - “Super Bowl Sunday” in Memorial Park. Principal, Holly Lansford is reporting that the school cleared $60,000 between the reverse raffle, silent auction, and corporate sponsor banner ads. “We are very relieved and so grateful to our Saint Michael’s Family and to the Tybee Community for supporting our wonderful school!” Lansford says.
She and organizer Ginny Murphy would like to especially thank the Saint Michael’s Men’s Club for their magnificent support; the Oyster Cooking Crew led by Walter Corish and Charlie Russo for supplying the delicious oysters; Saint Michael’s Women’s Club for their delicious baked goods
and faithful support; and all Corporate Sponsors. A word of deep appreciation also goes out to the families of Saint Michael’s School who worked so hard to make this event such an overwhelming success!

It’s time for the Annual St Michaels $100 Reverse Raffle and Oyster Roast in Memorial Park on beautiful Tybee Island. The event takes place on Super Bowl Sunday, February 7th from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. This event has become Savannah and Tybee Island’s favorite way to spend Super Bowl Sunday prior to kick-off! The $100 ticket donation benefits St Michaels Scholarship Fund. Call the school at 786-4507 to purchase your ticket today!
The raffle works like this: up to 1000 tickets will be sold and every ticket will be drawn. For the first ticket drawn and every 50th ticket thereafter, a fabulous prize will be won. As the drawing advances, the prizes will increase in value. The final ticket drawn will win the grand prize of $10,000! All prizes are valued at over $100 so your chances of winning your $100 back are one in 28! Those are great odds! Prizes include a week in the French countryside, a week in a mountainside cabin, weekend adventures to downtown Savannah, Atlanta and Tybee Island, a weekend stay at a beautiful B&B in Ohio, 2 tickets to any concert at the Savannah Music Festival, original artwork from local artists, kayak tours, dinner parties, just to name a few!
Raffle tickets will be available from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park on Sunday – this will be your last chance to win $10,000!
Tickets to the Oyster Roast are $15 and can be purchased from the Men’s Club or the day of the event. In addition to Russo’s oysters, you will enjoy chili, hotdogs, and delicious baked goods prepared by the St Michael’s Women’s Club. For the children this year, we have added a “Pass/Punt/Kick” Contest. Trophies will be awarded! You won’t want to miss this fun event for the whole family.
